Blairgowrie Beach Club, by Bower Architecture & Interiors

Willie Weston’s Jilmara wallpaper in ‘Stone’ features in the dining space

Blairgowrie Beach Club, designed by Bower Architecture & Interiors, is a coastal retreat that beautifully blends the Australian and Scandinavian influences of its owners. Reflecting their personal histories, cultural heritage, and their previous home on the site, the design is deeply connected to the local beachside community and its surrounding natural environment.

Willie Weston’s Jilamara wallpaper in ‘Stone’, featuring artwork by Tiwi artist Jean Baptiste Apuatimi, has been seamlessly integrated into the light-filled dining space. The soft colourway and intricate linework add texture and storytelling, subtly enhancing the home’s warm and art-filled atmosphere.

Willie Weston’s Jilamara wallpaper in ‘Stone’ pairs seamlessly with the restrained colour palette, adding layers of texture and storytelling.

Jilamara

Jean Baptiste Apuatimi’s original artwork for our Jilamara design is inspired by the ochre patterning used in Tiwi ceremonial traditions.

Jilamara refers to the ochre markings traditionally painted on the bodies of dancers and carved poles during Pukumani ceremonies, unique to Tiwi culture.
